Take Control!

Your Mind plays a huge role in your day to day life. We are given endless choices from the moment we wake up to the moment we fall asleep. Did you know that the average American sees any where from 250 to 5000 advertisements a day???!!! Global corporations spend over $620 billion dollars a year to make their products seem desirable. From filling out forms of warranty or divorce to looking for reputable schools or the restaurants in your community you will have been advertised to over and over.  Don’t even mention how much we see in advertising if you spend time on the most popular social sites like facebook and myspace! The advertising is endless and sometimes we can’t even escape in our own homes!

Driving we see billboards and hear radio plugs not to mention the branding of our employers in our offices and on the products we get for free while working there.

In this day and age we are subject to thoughts that we don’t even want in our minds. Images and words are so powerful that if we allow them to linger we will soon speak about them and then maybe even act upon them. This can be good or bad based on the content of the thought.

It has been said you can’t stop a bird from flying over your head but you can stop it from building a nest on your head. With this thought I ask you to truly take account for what you allow in your ear gates and eye gates. We need to be faithful guards against evil in so many aspects today. God does not give us more than we can handle and He has given us authority to take control of our situation by always having a way out of thoughts or actions that can be detrimental to our spiritual, mental and physical health.

Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.

We have a great power in that we have the gift of tounge. You could be thinking of counting 1, 2, 3, all the way to 100 but if you all of the sudden sing your favorite song your thoughts have to obey to your tongue. Now that is powerful!

Proverbs 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit. Now if faithcomes by hearing and hearing by the word of God why are we constantly speaking negative? We need to claim back our gift from satan whom we have allowed to have a foothold on this gift. And if it wasn’t clear enough God gave us a hint…CHOOSE LIFE!

Deuteronomy 30:19 I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live So I urge you to not just take my word for it but pick up a bible yourself and thrive off the living word.

If you do not believe in God, give Him a chance. You have tried it your way for so long and it hasn’t worked so why not allow your heart to be open to the possibility that God is real? Allow Him to take control and watch your mind, body and spirit become all it can be. If you haven’t accepted the Lord and today you want to give your life to Him, respond to His call now by repenting of your sins and believing on the Lord Jesus Christ.  Come just as you are, don’t try and clean up your life first then come…just come as you are.

Jesus stands at the door of our life and says:

Revelation 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.

I ask that you pray this prayer right where you are and mean it from your heart:

Lord God Almighty. I come to you in the name of Jesus Christ. I come to you with all the sins I’ve committed. I admit I am a sinner. I ask for your forgiveness. Please cleanse my body, soul and spirit from all this sin with the precious blood of your Son Jesus Christ. I believe your Son Jesus Christ died on the cross for MY sins and all those that believe in his name. I also believe that he rose from the dead so that I, too, may have victory over the works of the devil. I confess and accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior and ask him to come into my heart and give me a new life that’s after your will and purposes. I want to serve you and obey all your ways. I want to live for you every day of my life. Please lead and guide me by your Holy Spirit into righteousness. Thank you Lord, for the work of your Son Jesus Christ shedding His blood for me and for hearing and answering my prayer. I’m now considered your child through the work of your Son Jesus.  I have been born anew and by faith I believe it. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

WELCOME TO THE FAMILY!!! I am so blessed to know we will be neighbors in heaven! I strongly suggest you get into Bible believing church that edifies you in your walk. Don’t expect this life to be easier now that you have Jesus. In fact the devil will be working harder now that you are claiming the name of Jesus. Don’t be weary for we fight a good fight and Jesus has already conquered the grave.

John 16:33 These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” So what’s so great about Jesus and being reborn you ask? Well now you have the power of God to fight the spiritual battles of this world. We live on this earth but we are not of it. We belong in heaven as we are children of the Lord. We live in Jesus and since He has already conquered sin and death we can stand strong on His word. There will not be a party in hell for your choice but you can rejoice freely knowing you have the power of God and not just by your own power that was once easily swayed. He will never give you more than you can handle and will always make a way to escape!

1 Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it. With the word you are well equipped. Think of it as your ammo or your sword as you go about the battles of life.

Ephesians 6:12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
