General facts:

A raw vegan diet consists of unprocessed vegan foods that have not been heated above 115-118 degrees.  Foods cooked above these temperatures lose most of their nutritional value along with the potential increase of forming harmful carcinogens.

Carcinogens: A chemical or physical agent that encourages cells to develop cancer.

A raw diet would consist of approximately 75% or more of raw food on a daily basis.

Testimony after testimony from people around the globe, stories have poured in of all the amazing life transformations from weight loss, clear skin, increased energy, cancer-free, diabetes-free and improved overall health…the list goes on!

A raw food diet mainly consists of all raw and best if organic (in their unprocessed state):

Vegetables

Fruits

Nuts

Seeds

Sprouts

Fresh Herbs

Raw oils

Some are also minimally processed such as:

Freshly juiced fruits and vegetables

Cold pressed olive oils

Raw nut butters

Fermented foods

Pure maple syrup

Nama shoyu-raw soy sauce

Some Raw Foodies prefer to exclude some of the foods above as there is still debate as to whether they are actually raw or not.
