A Nation Driven by Fear

What happens when a leader wants his nation to act or think in a way that allows them to get the most of their nation?  Well back in the day they would use fear or force, today’s culture is a bit more ‘civilized by thinking ‘we the people’ right?  Wrong!

Today’s society is no different than those civilizations that were beat into submission.  How is this you ask?  Well we all bought into the lie.  The world in which we can have our own way!  You don’t like the station then change it to one of the other two thousand channels!  Don’t like the menu, then create your own version of a cheese burger with six meat patties to make it a triple pounder extravaganza!

What you think you are doing is getting the best for your money but the problem is all you can see now is your world…what happened to the big picture?  Who is really benefitting from the larger quantities of consumption?  Who’s message are you really listening to on the tv?  Are you getting the whole news or a neatly edited regurgitated fairytale?

While you’re watching the ol’ boob tube someone is making a profit from the ideas put into your head on what you think you must have, and what you think you want to eat.  Meanwhile, your rights are more and more rapidly being taken from you, your eyes are glazing over to the programming of your mind.  Now coming home day after day you settle into a content lifestyle of un-satisfaction because you think you don’t have what you see on tv further emptying your bank account on frivolous consumption.

What do you think will be the outcome of all these factors?  Just look around you, in the growing concern for stability, no financial backup, emergency funds or retirement stash.  Secondly our minds have conformed to what the media would like us to think. Also our bodies are decomposing before old age and cancer is upon us.  Furthermore our troops are going to war and dying for what cause?  Freedom? We had that from the time we took the Native American’s freedom and more freedom after we set the African Americans (we kidnapped) free.  The freedom we are subconsciously wanting is the freedom of our minds and the peace we have lacked for so long.  There is no need to have people die for that.  But what do you find on tv?  Numerous finely marketed ‘be all you can be’ commercials that portray soldiers as these glorious troops.  Don’t get me wrong they are awesome but the commercials they slap in people’s faces isn’t what happens in real life for the most part.  You could stop almost any war by having all the people who make the decisions to send out these troops get on a battle field with their business suits and fight it on out.  Thing is all these old rich men would get tired within the first twenty minutes and call it a day.  What’s really going on?

What America needs to do is focus on America and stop pointing fingers and trying to fix other people’s problems as well as raping the earth from for its natural resources. This will only happen when we put down the remote control and look into the mirrors.  We need to look at the health of our nation.  What has happened to our minds?  What has happened in our country while we were fast asleep in TV world?  Why is everyone’s health around us failing?  Why are people so quick to demand tolerance and yet not tolerable to certain beliefs?  What rights are being taken away as we allow the health of our mind, body and spirits be placed in the government and global conglomerate’s hands?

When you watch a TV program today you can be sure you see and hear a philosophical world view on any given channel.  You are listening to a philosophy of one person and that is the person with the cash to back his visions, his ideas and his morals.

Morals are the most fluid concept out there today.  When you ask someone who does not know the Lord what good and bad is they will tell you what suits them but ask another person and you might get a conflict of interest on the moral meter.

The decay of society has come down to the exposed bones of our carcass.  Like a dog that returns to its vomit ,so does society without God return to placing hope in man or the next new leader only to be let down yet again.  Why is it that every election people think ‘now this guy, he’s really going to make a change’? Every time, without fail the position calls for deception at first and ulterior truth that quickly follows election.   Placing faith in man always deems to fail no matter how much we love that person or how much we admire them they are simply man and prone to fall. For those who have hope only find it in God.  He has a 100% track record for keeping His word.  In this world of fear either consciously or subconsciously you can rest in God because He has not given us the spirit of fear.

So what can we do in the journey to total health, well cut off your cable connection today.  Why pay for a lie?  Not only will your mind find peace but you find all sorts of time to spend with your wife, husband, children or your talents increating or helping others with your mechanic or gardening skills.  This new found time will allow you to learn how to speak maybe even your own first words while your were in the slammer we call TV.  Warning: you may notice you will find out more about your spouse and kids and enjoy a lifetime of laughs and bonding. Here’s another outlook do you even remember what you watched last week and how has it helped you in life or the realm of knowledge or wisdom?  Also what good did knowing your favorite team won that game one year back in 2006?  You may say you won a lot of money gambling. But if you are a woman or man of God you should know we are not to be placing God’s blessings on chance, even if you tithe it all for the church…God doesn’t need your tithes from sin.

So in conclusion, throw out your cable, get in the word, revive your health in your spirit then your thoughts and ultimately your body will benefit AND… you will gain a plethora of deeper relationships with those around you.

Do not remain stagnant in fear because it will be to your own demise!

Proverbs 22:13 The lazy man says, “There is a lion outside! I shall be slain in the streets!

Remember God never gave you a spirit of fear or confusion.
